Grand theft
Between $15,000 and $20,000 worth of sports memorabilia was stolen from a home on the 16800 block of DeWitt Avenue. There was no sign of forced entry, and the owner told police the teenaged tenants, who were moving out on the day of the theft, may have stolen the items. The crime was reported about 8 p.m. Mar. 24.
Auto burglary
A tan Chevrolet Suburban parked at the 300 block of Noble Court was broken into and the owner’s purse was stolen. The crime was reported 9:48 p.m. Mar. 24.
Fraud
Someone reported their father’s death certificate was being used to acquire Social Security benefits. The crime was reported 10:26 a.m. Mar. 20.
Recovered stolen vehicle
A green Ford Taurus that had been stolen earlier was recovered near the intersection of Hill Road and Barrett Avenue, 5:11 p.m. Mar. 20. It was found with no stereo and no front license plate, but it was driveable.
