‘Live Oak has six more [football] games left in the year. That’s
six more opportunities to make the playoffs and prove a lot of
people wrong,’
A.B. Positive: Folks, I know that Live Oak hasn’t exactly started things off the greatest and I understand how frustrating this can be for you Live Oak alumni that were part of all those powerhouse years. However, just because you’re frustrated with the team gives you absolutely NO right to start your little bleacher talk. If you think you can do a better job than Coach [Jon Michael] Porras or any of his staff then I dare you to take the task on. If you don’t like the job he’s doing, that’s fine… that’s your opinion and your entitled to it. But by all means, have enough sense and keep your mouth shut about it. … I’ve seen teams that have weathered the storms of some pretty tough seasons. But see, that’s just how life works. You have to be able to mix the good with the bad. … Live Oak has six more games left in the year. That’s six more opportunities to make the playoffs and prove a lot of people wrong.
Green Phone: Dear A.B. Positive, you’re spot on in thinking the Acorns’ football season is far from finished. The last thing the team needs to lose its fan support. Speak your mind but know who’s listening.
Though Live Oak’s remaining schedule is tough, three wins should be enough to get the Acorns into the postseason.
Winning isn’t everything. Someone once said losing reveals character better than success. How the Acorns respond from their 0-4 start will reveal theirs.
