MORGAN HILL — Live Oak has cancelled Tuesday’s sporting events at the high school because of heavy rainfall, athletic director Mark Cummins announced.

Sports affected include girls tennis and boys and girls cross country. Live Oak’s runners were scheduled to compete against Independence and Pioneer at San Jose’s Montgomery Hill. Both events will be rescheduled, plus Wednesday’s field hockey match at Live Oak between the Acorns and Homestead, Cummins said.

Live Oak girls volleyball is still playing at Westmont at 6 p.m. today.

No other cancellations have been made for this week.

Calls to Sobrato athletic director Kevin Miller have not been returned.
