Cajun food coming soon to Morgan Hill

Is there any way to determine if Charter will actually offer the
CSN-CA channel so all loyal Sharks fans here in Morgan Hill can
enjoy the hockey season?
“Is there any way to determine if Charter will actually offer the CSN-CA channel so all loyal Sharks fans here in Morgan Hill can enjoy the hockey season? As a community, 104 people have signed a petition, inundated Charter with requests by phone and e-mail, contacted Comcast and the Sharks organization and all we get is finger pointing. I would like to know if there is light at the end of the tunnel. Many of us cannot change subscribers and we are being held hostage by corporate greed. I think I speak for all the Sharks fans when I say, ‘give us what we want and quit making excuses.'”

Dear Is There Light at The End of the Tunnel, as a big Sharks fan, Red Phone couldn’t agree more. While it’s not unusual for broadcasting spats to be resolved at the last minute, this one seems especially galling now that the season has started without a resolution.

The two companies are fighting over how to split millions of dollars in revenue while loyal fans are left out in the cold.

So where does that leave fans? Like a Zamboni without ice, lost, unable to watch their team. Sad that corporate greed robs us of our entertainment.

Seems your only choice is to switch to satellite. Maybe if enough fans follow through, Charter will get the message. Then again, the way cable companies operate without a thought as to what the consumer wants, perhaps not. Go Sharks!

Monastery must apply for permit

“Hey Red Phone, there’s a sign on southbound Monterey Road just north of Watsonville Road that says ‘Kim Son Monastery’ instructing people to turn right onto Watsonville. Is that for the monastery up near Mount Madonna, and when did the sign go up, and why?”

Dear Enlightened Thinker, Red Phone contacted Margarita Huertas-Balagso, senior project coordinator for the city. She said the directional sign was placed on Monterey Road without acquiring the required permit and the city let them know the sign needed to be removed since no permit was issued.

“The Monastery has since applied for a permit with Public Works to see if they can get approval to keep it there,” she said. “It is currently being reviewed.”

There you have it, good caller. Hope that answers some of your questions.
