Emma Alessandra Herrera won the official state title of Dream Girls USA Miss Northern California 2009 during the Dream Girls USA Northern California Miss Division (16 to 19) Pageant held in Fremont Jan 24. Herrera now has the opportunity to advance to the National Finals being held in St. Louis Memorial Day weekend and vie for outstanding awards, titles, cash and prizes, including one of two guaranteed $10,000 U.S. Savings Bonds.
Herrera, 16 lives in San Jose and is a sophomore at Ann Sobrato High School and is the daughter of Nancy Herrera.
She will now enjoy a year of making appearances, securing sponsors and performing community service.
