Sobrato’s Isaiah Hardy celebrates a tackle during their CCS semifinal game Saturday against Valley Christian.

Four players from Live Oak and two from Sobrato have been invited to play in the 39th Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star Football Game on July 17 at San Jose City College.

For Live Oak, fullback/nose tackle Mark Butterworth, defensive back Jerardo Caro, linebacker/tight end Brandon Duran and linebacker/running back Joey Rodriguez will play for the South team. The quartet will be joined by Sobrato free safety/wide receiver Isaiah Hardy and running back/defensive back Miguel Redmond.

Live Oak’s Mike Gemo will serve as South head coach. His staff includes Live Oak’s Richard Nelson, Mark Dean and Scott Matthews, and former Sobrato head coach Nick Borello.
