Live Oak’s wrestling team won eight of nine contested matches on its way to a 45-30 victory at Silver Creek on Wednesday night.
The Acorns had Isaiah Locsin (126 pounds), Josh Acosta (152) and Ramon Lucatero (160) win by pin. Live Oak’s Derek Peralta (170) claimed a 15-4 major decision, Austin Langford (132) and Morgan Smith (195) each won by technical fall, Adam Mito (138) won in overtime and Nick Locsin (145) won a close decision.
Live Oak will host Santa Teresa in a Blossom Valley Athletic League showdown at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 16.
