Auditor pleads no contest to grand theft

Car theft

-An unknown suspect(s), March 19 at 11 p.m. on the 2100 block of Pacheco Court at Frazier Lake Road in Gilroy, stole a Honda vehicle which was unlocked on a person’s property.

-An unknown suspect(s), between March 14 and March 16, on the 14000 block of Crowner Avenue in San Martin, stole a trailer from a residence.

-An unknown suspect(s), between March 14 at 5 p.m. and March 15 at 7:30 a.m., on the 1900 block of Hayes Lane in San Martin, stole an ATV parked outside of a barn.

Grand theft

-An unknown suspect(s), between March 15 at 2 p.m. and March 18 at 4:30 p.m. at the 1400 block of Uvas Road in Morgan Hill, stole statues, pots and wood furniture from a resident’s deck estimated at $4,000.

Burglary

-An unknown suspect(s), March 18 between 7:45 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at the 1200 block of Hager Court in San Martin, entered a residence through an open door and stole several items as well as a trailer in the driveway.

Drugs

-Alex Paul Tolin, 21, March 20 at 1:37 a.m., at the intersection of Oak Glen Avenue at Green Acres Drive in Morgan Hill, for reckless driving and under the influence of a controlled substance. The suspect was observed driving in excess of 65 MPH on a windy, dark, wet residential road with a 35 MPH speed limit when he was pulled over. The officer noticed the suspect was sweaty, had fluttery eyelids and was in possession of a meth pipe. The suspect admitted to smoking meth.

-Samuel Delgado Gonzales, 60, March 17 at 9:03 a.m., near the intersection of Monterey Highway at Travel Park Circle in Gilroy, for possession of heroin and possession of prescription pills. Officers found a hypodermic needle containing heroin next to his leg and a bottle cap containing heroin.

-Craig John Markert, 57, March 16 at 3:24 p.m., near the intersection of Travel Park Circle at Monterey Highway, for being under the influence of a controlled substance. After being pulled over for an expired registration, the suspect admitted to using either methamphetamine or cocaine within the last 24 hours.

-Christopher Douglas Cole, 22, March 14 at 1:30 p.m., near the intersection of Bolsa Road at Bloomfield Avenue in Gilroy, for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers found a backpack with a spoon, Q-tips, brown dirty cotton and four needles. The suspect admitted to using heroin.

-Prisma Celenia Negrete, 25, March 14 at 7:27 a.m., on the 900 block of Southside Drive in Gilroy, for being under the influence of a controlled substance and a probation violation. Officers were called to the scene after a family disturbance at a migrant residence camp in unincorporated Gilroy, where the suspect had broken several windows and barricaded herself inside of the empty buildings. The suspect had a felony warrant and refused to answer the door for officers, so they forced entry to check on the welfare of the suspect.

Fraud

-An unknown suspect(s), between 8 a.m. March 15 and 3 p.m. March 19, at the 4500 block of Roop Road in Gilroy, for fraudulent use of an access card to make five purchases worth $795.18.

Ammunition for destruction

-A resident, March 19 at 2:50 p.m., at the South County Substation on Highland Avenue in San Martin, turned in approximately 40 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition that was in his garage for more than 15 years.
