Boys Golf: Oakwood’s Poria places seventh in high-profile tourney

Oakwood junior Amay Poria finished seventh overall in the amateurgolf.com Diablo Valley Amateur Golf Tournament, shooting a two-round total of 145 last weekend in Brentwood.

Poria shot 71 on Saturday at Deer Ridge Golf Course, then carded 3-over 74 in the second round Sunday at Shadow Lakes Golf Course to finish seventh with a 145 total, eight strokes behind tournament champion Keelan Kilpatrick, a college sophomore who plays for California.
