Dig Pink
Live Oak volleyball team is hosting Dig Pink Saturday against Monte Vista Christian. There will be T-shirts, trinkets and food. Admission is free, but donations will be appreciated. The junior varsity starts at 5 p.m. and varsity is scheduled for 6 p.m. or a half hour after JV finishes.
Live Oak Girls Golf
Live Oak was swept by Leland, falling Thursday 168-201.
The Acorns shot better in the second round of the two-game series, with two golfers shooting below 50.
Kendall Guertin bested teammate Janice Kim by one stroke, with a 45. It was enough for her to take third among all golfers.
Meanwhile, Leland had two girls shoot below 40, with Kristen Le and Nicole Winiecki each carding a 39.
For Live Oak, Amy Gunther shot a 51 and Frances Giba recorded a 59.
Live Oak Homecoming
Live Oak will celebrate its homecoming on Oct. 18. The day will begin with a parade through town at 2:30 p.m.  The Frosh-Soph football game will start at 4 p.m.  The varsity game will begin at 7 p.m., with a fireworks show during halftime.
Also, attending the football game that evening will be the class of 1993 celebrating its 20-year reunion on Oct. 19.
