The San Benito County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a report of a body along Highway 25 June 11.
Sgt. Tony LaMonica said Monday no suspicious circumstances were involved when they found a 37-year-old Hollister man in a field near the railroad tracks along Highway 25.
LaMonica said sheriff’s deputies believe he was walking south toward Hollister through a field when he died. He noted the man was not hit by a train or vehicle. An autopsy report, including toxicology reports, will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
