Santa Clara County will host an anonymous gun buy back from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at the County Fairgrounds, located at 344 Tully Road in San Jose. Turn in your guns and receive cash, no questions asked.
Those who take advantage of the event are asked to transport their firearms unloaded and in the trunks of their vehicles. The County will pay up to $100 for each handgun, shotgun and rifle, and up to $200 for each assault weapon.
Funds are limited and subject to availability. The County reserves the right to limit the amount of cash an individual can receive, regardless of the amount of firearms surrendered.
