The Morgan Hill Centennial Project coordinators will break ground for a history trail Monday, June 26 at 5pm, on the grounds of the historic Morgan Hill House (Villa Mira Monte), 17860 Monterey Road.

The landscaped spiral trail will have approximately 90 significant Morgan Hill historical events portrayed on unique markers along the way.

The trail will be located south of the entry pathway that leads from Monterey Road to the house. It will be opposite the newly relocated museum building north of the pathway.

Construction of the history trail project is being done by volunteers coordinated by a volunteer Centennial Project Committee. Opportunities for volunteers, material contributions and sponsorships will be presented at the groundbreaking. In the volunteer spirit, the committee is inviting the public to bring shovels for the groundbreaking.
