Barbara M. Chastain passed into her next life on September 16 after a very courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Leonard, her son Mark Chastain of Sacramento, her daughter Miki Allard of Reno, Nevada, and three grandsons; Kevin, Joel and Jared. She was preceded in death by her oldest son Mike Chastain.
Barbara and her husband met at Gilroy High School and married shortly after graduation. Even though they have moved continuously throughout the 55 years they were married, they have stayed in contact with their high school friends. In August they attended their 55th class reunion in Gilroy.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 21st at the Antelope Rd. Christian Fellowship, 7951 Antelope Rd, Citrus Heights, CA at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
