Morgan Hill – The Marlins staged a seventh-inning rally Saturday that brought them from behind to edge the Indians 12-11 in a Morgan Hill Pony Baseball Bronco Division game.

Isaac Allen started the rally with a leadoff single. Trenton Cisewski walked. Brenden Stocksick singled in the first run and Garrett Taylor singled to load the bases. Alex Schnorr’s two-run single tied the game and Jake Peachey delivered the winning run with his second single of the game.

The Indians struck first with two runs in the first as Brandon Cressi reached on an error and scored, and Kody Root had a sacrifice fly.

The Marlins got one back in the bottom of the first when Nick Swanson walked and cored on a wild pitch, and took a 3-2 lead in the second when Taylor and Ryan Corvese scored runs.

John Forestieri’s two-run double keyed a five-run third inning for the Indians. The Marlins tied the game at 7-all in the fourth as Stocksick’s two-run single was the big hit.

The Indians went ahead 11-7 in the fifth with Dan Ginther’s two-run single the big hit.

Swanson, Jim Hagan and Stocksick had two hits apiece to lead the Marlins.

White Sox 11, Yankees 5

Chase Chadband, Matt Bergantz and Billy Branon drove in two runs apiece as the White Sox prevailed.

The Yankees scored all their runs in the first three innings with Jesse Lares and Tyler Pederson driving in runs before Chadband pitched four innings of one-hit, nine-strikeout pitching to earn the win.

A 10-run uprising in the fourth broke the game open. Branon and Chadband had two-run singles during the fourth inning that also featured seven walks and three errors.

The White Sox had just five hits in the game. Chadband and Bergantz had two hits apiece.

Athletics 5, Dodgers 1

The Athletics scored runs in five separate innings and collected 11 hits in the win.

Westyn Herscovitch was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, and Casey Dawes and Mike Jarvis had two hits and two runs apiece to pace the Athletics.

Andrew Bueno and Nelson Pyle combined on a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts.

Herscovitch doubled in a run in the first inning, Lorenzo Aguayo singled in one in the second, Herscovitch singled in a run in the third, Jarvis scored on an error in the fourth, Zack McKerrow doubled in a run in the seventh.

Sean Aitken singled in the Dodgers’ run in the seventh.
