101-69 in a Blossom Valley Athletic League meet.
Morgan Hill – Sobrato had three girls who were double winners and swam on two winning relays Wednesday as the Bulldogs defeated Lincoln 101-69 in a Blossom Valley Athletic League meet.
The Sobrato boys took a different route to victory, using their overall balance to swim past the Lions 90-80.
Katelyn Smith won the 200 freestyle in 2:04.52 and 500 freestyle in 5:34.37; Taylor Windgassen won the 200 individual medley in 2:24.29 and 100 butterfly in 1:05.85; and Amelia Greenland won the 100 backstroke in 1:12.32 and 100 breaststroke in 1:20.99.
All three were members of the winning 200 medley relay (2:13.47) and 400 freestyle relay (4:31.72) teams. Anna Reichartz, who was the fourth girl on the winning relay teams, won the 50 freestyle in 27.97.
Derek Bowman was the only Bulldog to win two individual events. He won the 500 freestyle in 6:05.02 and 100 breaststroke in 1:13.72. He also swam a leg on the winning 400 freestyle relay team.
Other Sobrato winners were Sky Sandberg, 2:16.58 in the 200 individual medley; Ammon Suzuki, 55.38 in 100 freestyle; and Danny Thompson, 1:03.57 in 100 backstroke. Sandberg,
Suzuki and Thompson also swam legs on the 400 freestyle relay team.
Lincoln’s Chris Scott was the meet’s big winner, capturing the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly, and swimming legs on the Lions’ winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.
Sobrato’s junior varsity girls also won, beating Lincoln 100-67.
