Location: 16860 Joleen Way
CEO/Head Instructor: Rich Taylor
History: Formally started in 2004 the California Pitching Academy was originally called Taylor Made Baseball, but because the scope of the business began to branch out throughout Northern California the name was changed to provide a more statewide, regional and national appeal. From private instruction in pitching and throwing, the academy has grown into camps, clinics, arm-strengthening classes and will manufacture and sell the Ace Powerband in addition to a new throwing mechanism designed to help players achieve proper throwing technique.
Services: With baseball and softball evolving into year-round participation, the California Pitching Academy is dedicated to keeping players’ arms healthy by working closely with the American Sports Medical Institute to provide updated techniques in throwing and pitching mechanics as well as information on how to care for their arms through core strength training.
On a year round basis the academy provides instruction locally, regionally and nationally, in softball and baseball, through private, group and team lessons, camps, arm strenghtening classes, core strength training classes, clinics and special events.
Hours of Operation: Varied depending upon camps, clinics and lessons but most instruction is done after school and on weekends, summer vacations, or any time schools are out of session.
