Patrick Gustafson and Tommy Naranjo had first-inning hits for the Angels with Joe Rodriques getting a sacrifice to drive in the run. The Angels got two more in the fourth as Robby Yamat, Bryan Freitas an Andrew Perez all had hits, and Ben Nuno got an RBI on a sacrifice.

Yamat pitched shutout ball for four innings, backed by standout defensive plays by Perez and Manny Luna.

The Marlins scored once in the sixth on Nick Swanson’s triple and Connor Havstad’s RBI hit. The Marlins’ two-run seventh included a leadoff double by Ryan Converse and hits by Jake Peachey and Taylor Garrett.

Athletics 19, Indians 7

The Athletics scored seven runs in the second inning and eight in the fourth in posting a decisive win.

The Athletics scored three in the first on singles by Andrew Bueno and Casey Dawes, two walks, two errors and a hit batter. However, the Indians moved in front with four in the first on a leadoff double by Brandon Cressi, a walk, singles by Kody Root and Pete Athans and three errors.

Eleven batters went to the plate for the Athletics in the second inning as Dylan Kral, Miguel Carlos, Nelson Pyle and Mike Jarvis all got hits. A three-run Indians second made it 10-7 Angels.

The A’s sent 12 runners to the plate in the fourth inning, getting three walks, singles by Zack McKerrow, Gonzalez and Kral, and successive doubles by Pyle and Bueno.

Bueno finished 4 for 5 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs. McKerrow was 3 for 3 with three RBIs, and Kral was 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Cressi and Root had two hits apiece for the Indians, and John Forestieri drove in two runs.
