Cyclonix Names Schiavone VP Operations
Morgan Hill-based Cyclonix, 140 San Pedro Ave., a creator of face-to-face sales, marketing and experiential environments, has hired Bob Schiavone as vice president of operations.
“Bob is one of the most distinguished operations experts in our industry. We brought him on board to leverage his experience in implementing and managing high quality, high capacity processes,” said Marty McGreevy, president of Cyclonix.
Schiavone has led some of the top production teams in the industry over the course of his 20-plus-year career in the exhibit industry. He was production manager at Design South, production manager at Color & Design, and vice president of operations at Exhibit Dynamics. After the closure of Exhibit Dynamics, Schiavone took a break from the industry.

Indian Restaurant Opens in Morgan Hill
Sitar Indian Cuisine restaurant, 110 Cochrane Plaza, will have a grand opening today at 11:30am. The 56-capacity restaurant is owned by Kamal Mann who also owns a similar restaurant in Santa Cruz, which opened in February. Food services will include dishes from the northern region of India. Mann is said to have owned and managed other restaurants such as the Royal Taj, Taj Indian Cuisine and Chaat House. The restaurant will be operated by Bharat Mansukhani, who’s been in the restaurant industry for more than 17 years.
The restaurant will offer a luncheon buffet for $7.99 and boxed lunches with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food for $6.99 and $7.99, respectively.

Help Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger
Letter carriers will be collecting food as part of a nationwide food drive organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service, the AFL-CIO, and Campbell’s Soups.
Anyone interested in participating should leave non-perishable food by their mailbox for pick up Saturday or bring food to their local post office.Â
Most needed foods include high protein items such as peanut butter, powdered milk, pasta, meals in a can (stew, chili, soup), tuna, canned foods with pop top lids, low sugar cereal and 100 percent fruit juices.
With the help of more than 700 local agencies and distribution sites, the food collected will be distributed to over 162,000 individuals including low-income families with children, seniors and individuals throughout the Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Â

Restaurant’s Renovation is a Doggone Delight
Happy Dog Pizza Co., 55 Fifth St., in Gilroy, has been working like a dog to prepare for its grand re-opening Saturday after being closed for two months for renovations.
The celebration will take place from 7am until late and will feature raffle giveaways, live music, and a contest to find the Happiest Dog in Gilroy. Customers can bring a picture of their dog to hang on the wall, and Happy Dog patrons will vote for the winner. Guests will celebrate upgrades made to the historic building. From a copper-painted ceiling to new flooring and even doggy art on the walls, the bistro has revamped its interior to provide a better dining experience.
The menu has also been updated, with the addition of Pit Bull Pizza – a steak pizza – crab cakes, steamers, crab salad, honey mustard salmon and vodka prawn fettuccine. The wine list has also been expanded.
