Dear Editor,
President Bush at a news conference with Tony Blair told the American people that the most terrible event in Iraq so far was Abu Ghraib. Where does the thousands of crippling injuries to our brave troops rank on the President’s scale? Do the thousands of deaths of young Americans make the top five in his ratings? His determination to keep our brave forces in harm’s way beyond 2009 is appalling. It should illustrate to the American voters how important the November election is to the future of our nation and to the swift, safe return home of our Armed Forces.
