Morgan Hill – Two men and one teenage male were arrested in two potentially dangerous incidents during the weekend, according to Morgan Hill police Cmdr. David Swing.

Friday night, a security guard at StriXe lounge in Tennant Station shopping center called Morgan Hill police about a possible gang fight in the parking lot behind the Cinelux Theater, Swing said.

“We probably averted a stabbing,” he said. Twelve gang members, Norteños and Sureños, gathered at approximately 10:30pm. One of the Norteños was allegedly looking for revenge because a Sureño had punched his female cousin. Swing said the Norteño was carrying a concealed weapon, a knife he had hidden under his shirt.

The 16-year-old male was arrested for alleged possession of a deadly weapon and released to his parents.

No one was injured, Swing said.

Several hours later, officers arrested two men after they ripped the nozzle off a gas pump at the Valero gas station on Monterey Road in south Morgan Hill.

According to Swing, officers responded to a call at the gas station at approximately 3:10am Saturday about a possible DUI.

When officers arrived, they found Michael Flores, 26, and Stan Sumibcay, 30, and arrested them on suspicion of being drunk in public and alleged vandalism. They were cited and released.

The Valero clerk said the men had pushed their vehicle into the gas station and were harassing her, asking for free gas. She gave them $3 in gas for free, Swing said, but they continued to berate her, so she called 911. The men ripped the nozzle off one of the gas pumps during the incident, Swing said.
