  • Vandalism: A Morgan Hill resident reported her vehicle’s window was broken while it was parked at Paradise Valley Elementary School. The report was taken at 2:27pm.

  • Vandalism: A Shadowbrook Way resident reported their vehicle and garage door were vandalized overnight. The vehicle’s antenna and windshield wiper were bent, and it appeared someone dented the garage door with a hammer. The report was taken at 5:14pm.

  • Petty theft: Two juveniles were cited and released to their parents for alleged petty theft from Mervyn’s department store. The report was taken at 5:41pm.

Dec. 21

  • Fraud: A San Martin resident reported someone used their stolen credit card to make charges at Safeway grocery store and Chevron gas station in Morgan Hill. The report was taken at 7:56am.

Dec. 22

  • Grand theft: A Watsonville Road resident reported someone took her two dogs, a chocolate lab and a yellow lab valued at $700 each. She told police her neighbor had threatened to take her dogs the week before, but she has no proof or witnesses. The report was taken at 7:38am.

Dec. 23

  • Petty theft: Cyclonix, Inc., on San Pedro Avenue reported a former employee who was fired for stealing from the business may have taken more items. The report was taken at 8:40am.

  • Fraud: A Morgan Hill resident reported her purse was stolen in Gilroy, and now her credit cards and checks are being used in Morgan Hill. The report was taken at 10:33am.

  • Vandalism: A Spring Avenue resident reported someone broke the residence’s window overnight by throwing Christmas reindeer decorations. The report was taken at 10:37am.

Dec. 26

  • Vandalism: A Creekside Lane resident reported their vehicle’s windshield wipers were bent, and a note was left on the vehicle that said “please don’t park in guest parking.” The resident told police they wanted “CSI” to analyze the handwriting on the note. The report was taken at 2:17pm.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported a work truck’s locked box was broken into, and all the tools were stolen. The report was taken at 2:31pm.

  • Fraud: A La Mirada Court resident reported his credit card has been charged $336, and the items charged are being shipped to Castroville. The report was taken at 6:22pm.

Dec. 27

  • Vandalism: Someone apparently got on the roof of El Toro School on East Main Avenue and broke of some of the roofing tiles. The report was taken at 9:52am.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported someone stole her daughter’s cell phone from an unlocked vehicle parked at the Vineyard Town Center. The report was taken at 3:41pm.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported someone stole a stereo from their unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center. The report was taken at 5:59pm.

  • Auto burglary: A Jasmine Way resident reported someone stole tools valued at approximately $1,000 from locked tool bins on a work truck. The report was taken at 7:03pm.

Dec. 28

  • Auto burglary: An El Pajaro Court resident reported someone entered their unlocked vehicle overnight and went through the glove box and center console. An insurance card and $2 in cash were stolen. The report was taken at 9:47am.

  • Petty theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported a bicycle was stolen from the bed of his truck while it was parked at Round Table Pizza on Dec. 1. The report was taken at 12:40pm.

  • Burglary: A Nob Hill Terrace resident reported he returned home and found his front door “kicked open” and cash missing from the residence. The report was taken at 1:01pm.

  • Grand theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported his DVD system was stolen form his vehicle while it was at the Alpha Automotive Repair shop. The report was taken at 1:14pm.

  • Domestic violence: A Morgan Hill resident reported her husband threw a barstool at her the night before, but the barstool did not hit her and she left the house. The report was taken at 4:14pm.

Arrests:

  • Tammie Worcester, 41, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for alleged forgery. The report was taken on Dec. 22 at 2:21pm.

  • Robert B. Dominguez, 48, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for alleged possession of a controlled substance. The report was taken at 4:35pm on Dec. 22.

  • A 47-year-old male was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for alleged spousal abuse. The report was taken on Dec. 22 at 6:57pm.

  • A 47-year-old male was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for alleged domestic abuse involving a child. The report was taken at 10:58am on Dec. 24.

  • Samuel G. Salinas, 55, was cited and released on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The report was taken on Dec. 26 at 2:17am.

  • Roy R. Brand, 46, was cited and released on suspicion of driving under the influence. The report was taken at 8:32am on Dec. 26.

  • Nicholas E. Alviso, 22, was cited and released on suspicion of being drunk in public. The report was taken on Dec. 26 at 9:51am.

Vehicle theft

A vehicle was stolen from Green Streak Landscaping near the intersection of New Bolsa Road and Bloomfield Avenue in Gilroy, between 5:30pm, Nov. 2 and 8am, Nov. 4.
