After winning its first match of the season on Monday, the Sobrato badminton team fell 9-6 to a solid Prospect squad Wednesday.
The Bulldogs’ boys doubles team of Mike Mira and Robert Grew remained undefeated as they won their match.
“Those two really work well together and are playing great,” head coach Joe Bagley said. “I’m looking forward to what they can do in league.”
In the girls doubles, Sobrato’s Mary Boyd and Navjat Grewal won their match and gained a point for the Bulldogs.
“The team is really improved since last year due to hard work,” Bagley said. “The kids have put a lot of effort into it.”
Sobrato defeated San Jose High 12-3 on Monday but fell to Pioneer 9-6 last week. The Bulldogs fell to 1-2 this season and play at Branham at 3:30 p.m. today.
