South Valley Civic Theater

The South Valley Civic Theater presents two suites by Neil Simon. “Plaza Suite,” 8pm tonight. “California Suite,” is offered 8pm on June 2.

Performances will be at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse, 17090 Monterey Road. Ticket prices are $15 general and $12 for students and seniors, available at BookSmart, 80 E. Second St.

Book Sale – Preview Night

To reduce inventory before moving to the new library, Friends of the Library offer books to be sold half-price,

7-8:30pm at the Morgan Hill Library, 17575 Peak Ave. Members only at preview night, but memberships may be purchased at the door for $10. Use rear entrance for book sale.

VMC Idol

A live-singing competition featuring Santa Clara County Health and Hospital System employees, 7:30pm at the Montgomery Theater, 271 S. Market St., San Jose. Tickets are $20-$40. Proceeds benefit the Valley Medical Center.

Troop 709 Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

Boy Scout Troop 709 hosts a pancake breakfast and open house, 7:30-10am at the LDS Curch Cultural Hall, 1795 E. Dunne Ave. Tickets are $5 for adults and children ages 12 and older and $3 for children ages 3-11. Proceeds benefit the Troop.

Last Chance Book and Gift Clearance Sale

Imagine Nation Books, Ltd. sponsors a book and gift sale, 11am-2pm at Friendly Fred’s Hot Dogs, 409 Tennant Station. Ten percent of sales go to Morgan Hill Pop Warner program.
