Morgan Hill – Alien Technology Corporation, a provider of radio identification tags, has appointed George W. Everhart chief executive officer and a member of the company’s board of directors.
Everhart brings to Alien more than 25 years of executive leadership experience with specific expertise in leading high growth phases of industry leading technology companies including 3Com Corporation, Fujitsu Personal Computer Corporation, and Apple Computer.
“George has tremendous depth and breadth of knowledge and experience across the many facets involved in leading the transition of a technology company from an early stage market leader to a high volume business” said Duane Zitzner, interim chairman of the Alien board of directors. “His expertise in managing rapid stages of growth in both large and small companies, and building worldwide organizations, are key as Alien continues to address the rapidly growing markets for RFID.”
Everhart is former CEO at SealedMedia and Onesecure. He was also senior vice president of worldwide sales and service at 3Com. Prior to that, he was CEO at Fujitsu Personal Computer. He also hed positions at Apple, the Braegen Corp., and Memorex.
