subscriber, I was saddened to see that the death of Santa Clara
County Fire Department Fire Captain Mark McCormack was apparently
not worthy of front page news in your Tuesday, Feb. 15,
edition.

As a Morgan Hill resident and Morgan Hill Times subscriber, I was saddened to see that the death of Santa Clara County Fire Department Fire Captain Mark McCormack was apparently not worthy of front page news in your Tuesday, Feb. 15, edition.
Mark was a member of the Fire Department that protects our community, and The Times should have shown him the deserving respect that all other local area newspapers saw fit to bestow upon him.

Editor’s note: The story ran Feb.15 at the top of the back page of the front section of the newspaper. Capt. McCormack was based in Los Gatos; the fire was in Los Gatos. If the fire was in Morgan Hill, the tragic death would have been front page news.
