Two new wineries in Santa Clara Valley have joined the traveling party that is Passport Weekend Oct. 1 and 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Aver Family Vineyards at 2900 Soma Way in Gilroy and Lightheart Cellars at 305 Roosevelt Ave. in San Martin are two among 23 wineries in Morgan Hill, San Martin and Gilroy to give wine enthusiasts a tour of everything South County wineries have to offer.

Passports are $30 per person to take part in activities planned exclusively for Passport holders, such as tours, barrel tasting, music and special discounts. Most wineries will have food and entertainment for visitors.

You can buy Passports – good for this weekend only – at the Gilroy Visitor Center and Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce.
