Gilroy police arrest stabbing suspect

According to the GPD, Michael Pritchard was arrested at the residence after making threats to cause harm and cut a victim with a knife.

The suspect also cut himself with the knife prior to police arriving at the scene, according to the GPD. Police say the weapon was discovered at the scene.

The 30-year-old male victim received nonlife threatening injuries and refused medical treatment, police said. The suspect was given medical treatment for nonlife threatening injuries at a Bay Area hospital and was then booked into the San Jose Main Jail, according to the GPD.
