Santa Clara County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives arrested
six suspects including one juvenile Tuesday in connection with a
home invasion, torture and attempted murder incident that occurred
at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at a residence on the 1000 block of Rucker
Avenue in Gilroy.
Santa Clara County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives arrested six suspects including one juvenile Tuesday in connection with a home invasion, torture and attempted murder incident that occurred at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at a residence on the 1000 block of Rucker Avenue in Gilroy.

According to police reports, a 59-year-old victim arrived at his home on Rucker around 9 p.m. when three male suspects ambushed him. The suspects then tied the victim up, beat and tortured by pouring chemical substances over his body and beating him with pool queues until he lost consciousness.

When the suspects left the residence, the victim was able to untie himself and run to his neighbor’s house to report the incident to the Sheriff’s office.

The arrests include Juvenal Reyes, 62; of Gilroy, Ernesto Gonzalez, 25; of San Jose, Juan Fonseca, 21; of an unknown address, Norberto Serna, 41; of an unknown address and Danny Rivera, 22; of San Jose; and one juvenile.
