At a recent board of directors meeting, Teresa Stephenson, president of the Friends of the Morgan Hill Library, presented a $5,000 donation to Emily Shem-Tov, president of the Morgan Hill Library Foundation. This contribution was made possible by community support of the Friends bookstore and big book sales. The Friends of the Library is a volunteer organization that raises funds to provide programs and activities and to purchase materials and furnishings that are outside the scope of the library budget. The Morgan Hill Library Foundation supports an endowment to fund capital and large-scale operational needs of the Morgan Hill Library to ensure that the community has access to knowledge, ideas, and cultural enrichment in state-of-the-art facilities.
