Trinidad (“Tina” “Trini”) Mortela passed away peacefully July 26th, 2011, at the age of 99.
Tina was surrounded by family and friends. She had a zest for living and made many friends during her time on earth.
Tina dedicated her life to helping others by providing live-in health care to elderly citizens. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and loved her coffee and sweets.
Tina is survived by her sons George of Oregon, Frank (Nancy) of Arizona, John (Jo Ann) of Hollister along with eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 10 great- great-grandchildren.
Tina was preceded in death by her husband Vicente and her granddaughter Lisa. For everyone else she was known as “Grandma”.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011, from 12 noon until 8:30 P.M. with the recitation of the rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home 870 San Benito St., Hollister.
Family and friends will leave the mortuary Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011, at 9:30 A.M. for a Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 A.M. Private burial will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.
Donations are preferred to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital c/o the mortuary chapel
