Police arrested two young men suspected of robbing a Morgan Hill liquor store and one of its customers at gunpoint.
Immanuel Sadler, 21, and a 17-year-old male were arrested July 1 on suspicion of armed robbery in relation to the incident at the Quick Stop store at 215 East Main Ave., according to Sgt. Shane Palsgrove.
The robbery occurred about 10:30 p.m. June 27. The incident was caught on the store’s surveillance tape.
An employee of the store called police after the robbery, and gave statements when officers arrived. Two young men dressed in ski masks and black hoodies entered the store. One of them pointed a silver revolver at the 38-year-old clerk and demanded money. The other suspect went behind the counter and emptied the cash register into a bag.
The man with the gun then pointed the weapon at a 19-year-old customer’s head and demanded him money, police said. Another store employee, 35, came out from the back room during the incident and the gun-wielding suspect held him back at gunpoint.
They then fled in an unknown direction, according to police.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police did not release the name of the juvenile suspect.
The case is under investigation, Palsgrove said. Police would not release the value of the robbers’ take.
