Local restaurants to be featured exclusively in the 16th Annual
Taste of Morgan Hill
The Taste of Morgan Hill, delighting tastebuds next weekend, will exclusively feature over 20 local restaurants in three food courts during this year’s new format.

This is the first year in the Taste of Morgan Hill’s history that only local restaurants will share their fare with the public. Additionally, the three food courts, located on both sides of Monterey Road and Third Street and at the Community and Cultural Center, are also new to this year’s Taste. As always, numerous beverages will be available for everyone.

This year’s local restaurant participants include: Caffee Kaffee Vin, Culinary Express, El Capri, Flying Dragon, Giancarlo’s Restaurant, Jamba Juice, Le Bistro, Mama Mia’s Restaurant, Maurizio’s, Morgan Hill Bakery, My Pizza, Poppy’s Fish & Poultry, Robeks Juice, Rosy’s at the Beach, San Martin Meats, Sandi’s Shave Ice, Sicilia In Bocca, Spero’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, Sushi Ichiban, Trail Dust BBQ, China Star, Red Lotus, and Mushrooms. In addition, the following food providers will also be located in the Kid’s Zone: Fun & Games Rental, Master Flavors, Knights of Columbus, Marie Callender’s, Morgan Hill Gymnastics Parent Club, and Bethany Community Church.

This year, as well, a Food Ticket Booth will be at each of the food court areas to sell tickets for food. This is a change from the past, when food was purchased for cash at each food provider’s location. Volunteers will help remind people to be sure to buy their tickets prior to getting in line.

In addition, the very popular Custom & Classic Car Show will return for its 16th year with the Taste of Morgan Hill. From its first show in 1989, with, perhaps six cars, it is now a sell out each year with 165 classics with premier parking for both Saturday and Sunday. It is truly two days of fun, music and family atmosphere for those who love cars and for those who enjoy bringing back memories by seeing beautifully prepared cars that you once drove, rode in, owned, or wished that you owned in another time.

Also, the South Valley Quilt Association will hold the Second Annual Harvest Quilt and Garden Show in Morgan Hill’s Community and Cultural Center. Approximately 250 quilts will be on exhibit with a special section devoted to kids’ quilts (up to age 18) and the Kids Corner is back with kid-friendly quilting activities. Beautiful door prize quilts will be available, and over 17 quilt-related vendors selling fabric, patterns, books, machines and more will be at this year’s show as well.

Experience Art in 30 Minutes or Less, also, by attending a showing of 2004 Poppy Jasper Film Festival winners held at the Community Playhouse on Saturday, Sept. 24. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show will begin at 7pm. Tickets are $5.

The Taste of Morgan Hill will begin Friday evening, Sept. 23, from 7 to 9pm, with a Street Dance at the intersection of Monterey Road and Second Street in downtown Morgan Hill and feature Live Action Heroes. The Taste of Morgan Hill will take place in Downtown Morgan Hill on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6 pm.
