Domestic argument could lead to charges against husband who
drove over his wife
A Morgan Hill woman was seriously injured Friday afternoon when she fell out of the back of the pickup her husband was driving.

Dianna Digiandomenico, 44, was listed in critical condition in a medically-induced coma with pelvic and leg injuries, according to a released statement by the Morgan Hill Police Department. Information from the police said Digiandomenico was airlifted to Valley Medical Center. However, the hospital did not show her as a patient Monday afternoon. Stanford and San Jose Regional hospital officials did not return calls by press time.

According to Morgan Hill Police Sgt. David Swing, Digiandomenico was sitting on the side of the bed of the truck, and as her husband pulled rapidly from the shoulder of Old Monterey Road, she fell from the truck onto the road, and the rear tires of the truck ran over the lower half of her body.

Swing said Digiandomenico’s husband, Alfred, 38, then jumped from the vehicle, ran to his wife, picked her up and placed her in the cab of the truck.

Digiandomenico was airlifted to the hospital after paramedics arrived on the scene just before 5pm on Friday.

The couple has a transportation/hauling business, according to Swing, and were in the process of removing a portable office trailer from the El Toro Fire Station on Old Monterey Road when the accident occurred.

There had been a verbal argument between the husband and wife prior to the accident, Swing said.

“Our investigation should be wrapping up today or tomorrow,” he said Monday. “We will forward the information to the DA’s office, and hopefully charges will be filed against Mr. Digiandomenico.”

Possible charges, Swing said, could include aggravated domestic assault or vehicular manslaughter, if his wife dies.

Digiandomenico was taken to Santa Clara County Jail after the accident. Swing said he was arrested on unrelated charges and placed on a parole hold, which means he violated probation and will be held without bail.
