• Domestic disturbance: A resident of Berry Court reported he
was trying to get his belongings and his wife put enchiladas on his
car so he put Coke on her kitchen floor. His wife then broke the
hubcaps on his car, so he did the same thing to hers. The report
was taken at 5:14pm.

• Domestic violence: A resident of John Telfer Drive said her husband beat her and left the house. The report was taken at 2:12am.

September 7

• Vandalism: A manager of Village Avante Apartment Homes reported someone broke into a vacant apartment overnight and burned the blinds and the carpet. The report was taken at 12:50pm.

• Petty Theft: A resident of Cochrane Village Apartments reported 18 pills of his prescription medication were taken from his case. The report was taken at 2:41pm.

September 8

•Battery: Live Oak High reported two students were fighting and one was bleeding from the head. The students were separated and taken to the office. The report was taken at 8:12am.

• Vandalism: A resident of Mathilda Court reported her stepdaughter “keyed” her vehicle on Sept. 7. The report was taken at 9:16am.

• Identity theft: A resident of La Crosse Village Apartments reported he went to get an account with Nextel and was told he already had an account. He got a copy of his credit report and found numerous transactions that shouldn’t be there. The report was taken at 10:05am.

September 9

• Petty theft: A resident of the Wright Avenue Apartments reported someone stole the license plates, front and back, from his Ford van. The report was taken at 1:20pm.

September 10

• Child abuse: A Valley Medical Center emergency room worker reported a Morgan Hill woman brought her five-day-old infant in, and the infant is showing signs of narcotics withdrawal. Also, according to the emergency room worker, the baby was born in a car in Morgan Hill. The report was taken at 2:07pm.

• Petty theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported their dayplanner was stolen while they were in Target in Cochrane Plaza shopping center. The planner contained an ATM card, checks and a credit card. The report was taken at 5:57pm.

September 11

• Arrest: Jose Garcia was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance. The report was taken at 1:15am.

• Battery: Britton Middle School reported that on Aug. 30 at 9am, someone tried to run over a crossing guard. The report was taken at 8:32am.

• Petty theft: TJ Maxx in the Vineyard Town Center reported two suspects ran out of the store with armfuls of clothing. The store has videotape of the suspects. The report was taken at 12:35pm.

• Petty theft: Mervyns in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center reported a suspect ran out of the store with merchandise. The license plate number of the vehicle in which he drove away was given to police. The report was taken at 4:13pm.
