Hey, hey, hey Morgan Hill, wouldn’t you know it, after a much deserved spring break, our Live Oak ASB is at it again. With the end of the school year just around the corner, we have many activities planed to finish the year with a bang.

Last Thursday, we had our junior high feeder rallies. We went to both Britton and Martin Murphy and put on mini-rallies to give the incoming freshmen a little Live Oak flavor. We had representatives come from all of our sports teams and clubs to show the diverse extra curricular activities we offer. The winners from Talent Show, Battle of the Bands and Lip Sync performed as well as our Cheer, Song and Hip-hop teams. The soon-to-be Acorns got a kick out of the whole rally and both were very successful.

Juniors, start making those hair appointments because Junior Prom is this Saturday. It will be held at the Capitol Club in San Jose from 8pm-midnight. Seniors, start finalizing your plans because our big night is on May 14 and will be held at Club Del Mar in Monterey from 8pm-midnight.

While our senior class is enjoying a highly anticipated senior barbecue this Wednesday, the rest of the school will be gathered in the gym for next year’s ASB officer elections. Good luck to all the candidates. That’s not all, while the other underclassmen are taking a standardized test, the senior class will be enjoying sleeping in and showing up at the football field for the panorama picture.

Also, it’s time to start digging out that swimsuit that you haven’t seen since last August, because April 27 is the senior Beach Day. And for those of you out there wondering, the whole senior class rides up together. No one rides separately. This is a school-organized function. There will be a bus provided for an earlier departure so if you have work after school – so no worries on that account. It’s all taken care of. Don’t forget seniors, the cost of Grad Night tickets go up every month so do not procrastinate. Graduation is only about two months away.

Don’t hang your heads in sorrow just yet Live Oak, because there is a chance that we just might have another rally before the end of the school year. We aren’t promising anything, but if we do have one, I assure you it will be a little different than our typical fifth-period rallies. There will be lots of energy put into it if it does go through. So pay close attention for more details.

Like always, have a great and safe week and be sure to catch what us crazy nuts are up to next week.
