Auto Burglary: n A resident of the 16700 block of Barnell Avenue
reported the resident’s locked Mazda Protege was broken into
overnight. A window was shattered, and the stereo was stolen. The
report was taken on April 2 at 6:31am.

Petty theft:

n Big 5 Sporting Goods in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center reported a male grabbed multiple pairs of shoes and ran out. The police were given a descr-iption of the getaway vehicle and its license number. The report was taken on April 3 at 2:43pm.

Burglary:

n A resident of the Monte Vista Apartments reported he returned home to find his front door open and his computer missing. The report was taken on April 2 at 6:33pm.

n A resident of Tassajara Circle reported he arrived home late the night before to discover someone had entered the house. The safe was broken into and left lying on the floor, but passports and money were left inside. The sliding door in the bedroom was unlocked. The report was taken at 11:06am on April 3.

Threats:

n An employee of the House of Thunder on Condit Road reported a known suspect came into the store and threatened him. The report was taken on April 2 at 11:05am.

SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Burglary:

n Forest James Noble, 19, of 4376 Casa Loma Road, Morgan Hill, was arrested in connection with a burglary at 14542 Crowner Ave. in San Martin that occurred between noon Jan. 15 and Jan. 26. Noble allegedly entered a garage and stole a $150 kicker sub woofer, which was returned to the victim. A $450 Craftsman 12-gallon air compressor and a Pioneer CD changer, worth $140 were also stolen, as reported at 9pm March 4.

Auto burglary:

n A thief entered a vehicle parked on Cohansey Avenue between 4am and 5:45pm Wednesday, Feb. 23 and stole items from the glove box, including a wallet and $410 in cash.

n A thief entered a vehicle parked at Monterey Road and Live Oak Avenue between 6pm Friday, Feb. 18 and noon Wednesday, Feb. 23 and stole a gauge.

n A thief stole the rear license plate from a white Honda Accord parked on Llagas Avenue between 7:30pm Wednesday, Feb. 23 and 8:30am Thursday, Feb. 24.

n A thief broke the driver’s window of a blue 1991 Toyota Tacoma parked on Murphy Avenue between 6pm Thursday, Feb. 24 and 6:15am Friday, Feb. 25, and stole a CD player, valued at $150.

n A thief stole a license plate off a trailer parked at Knopf Court and Watsonville Road between Sept. 1, 2004, and 11:20am Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005.

Theft:

n A thief stole a banner titled “California Association of Nurse Practitioners – Region 9,” and the plastic bag which contained it, worth a total of about $100, from a side yard of a residence on Foothill Boulevard in San Martin.

n A thief stole a red 1994 Acura on Foothill Avenue in Morgan Hill by loading it into a flat bed tow truck about 7pm March 11, as reported to sheriff’s deputies at 7:45pm.

n A thief cut a gate to Nicholson Lath and Plastering, located at Monterey and Day roads, and stole a white 1988 Chevy flatbed truck with a 5hp compressor, staple gun, a 200-foot hose and two tools boxes with tools inside between 12 and 6am March 12, as reported at 7:45am.

n A thief took two blank money order forms from a counter at Mama’s Market on Sycamore Avenue in San Martin at 8:05pm March 1, as reported at 11:11am March 2. One money order was for $341.50 and the other was for $500.

n A thief took a purebred Maltese dog from a victim’s property on Renaissance Court in San Martin at about 2pm Feb. 24, as reported at 9am Feb. 28. The victim searched for the dog, worth about $1,000, in the area and at various shelters. Three other Maltese dogs have been reported stolen within the last three weeks.

n A thief took a gas-powered Honda generator, worth about $2,000, from next to a trailer at Oak Dell Mobile Home Park on Watsonville Road in Morgan Hill between 8am March 20 and 4pm March 27, as reported at 7:20pm March 27.
