Indians vs. Mets
Cody went 3 for 3 with a walk, scoring twice for the Indians. Mets pitcher Nick Hagiperos threw five innings, striking out eight and allowing five hits. After the Indians took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, the Mets answered with a 2-run first inning as Gabe Bonilla reached on a base hit, and stole second and third before scoring on a passed ball. Mark Weber reached on a walk and later scored on an RBI base hit by Danny Lacorte. The Indians scored twice in the third on a two RBI double by Gerlach to take the lead at 3-2. Solid Indian pitching would hold the Mets until the third when Nick Hagiperos drove in Stine with a single to centerfield. Hagiperos stole second and scored on a base hit from La Corte. The Indians came alive in the fifth, scoring 4 runs on 1 hit, 1 walk and 3 errors. The Mets came back in the bottom of the fifth when Hagiperos drove in Bonilla, Mark Webber drove in Jeff Stine, and Danny LaCorte slammed a deep two-run RBI, and later scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice by Hall.

Key Hits: Jared Freitas of the Mets hit a triple in the first inning to drive in a run. Steven Facio of the Reds hit a double in the first inning to drive in a run.
Nice Plays: The Mets Jonathan Freitas and Jared Freitas pitched well. Ethan Cox and Steven Facio also pitched well for the Reds. The Mets’ Justin Hoppe and Sean Araiza each had three singles and Darien Huerta had a double and a single. The Reds Ethan Cox had a double and two singles and Nino Fortuna, Sean Martin, and Dallas MacDonald each had three singles. Nino Fortuna caught a hard-hit line drive up the middle and made an unassisted double play, along with several other good defensive plays for the Reds.
