n Big 5 Sporting Goods in Cochrane Plaza shopping center reported a male suspect took shoes out of their boxes and hid them in his pants before leaving the store. A description of the vehicle the suspect left in was given to police. The report was taken at 8:07pm on May 11.

n A resident of Evening Star Court reported someone stole her wallet while she was in the Safeway grocery store. The report was taken on May 14 at 2:34pm.

Burglary:

n A resident of Tahoe Way reported the residence was broken into and ransacked. The report was taken on May 19 at 6:06pm.

Grand Theft:

n A resident of Heritage Court reported two rings were stolen from her bedroom, could have happened some time in January or February. The rings were valued at $2,100. The report was taken on May 17 at 8:23pm.

Vandalism:

n A resident of Via Loma reported the back window of her Ford Windstar was shattered overnight. The report was taken on May 11 at 7:43am.

n A resident of the 17300 block of Walnut Grove Drive reported the resident’s vehicle was “keyed” overnight while parked in the driveway. The report was taken on May 15 at 11:34am.

n A resident of Del Monte Avenue reported the resident’s Rodeo was scratched and the molding was damaged as if someone tried to break into the vehicle. The report was taken at 1:51pm on May 15.

Auto Burglary:

n A resident of the 2400 block of Magnolia Way reported someone stole CDs, change and other items from the resident’s unlocked Honda Civic overnight. The report was taken on May 10 at 2:57am.

n A resident of the Cochrane Village Apartments reported the resident’s Toyota Camry was broken into overnight. A window was shattered, and it was unclear at the time of the report what was stolen from the Camry. The report was taken at 10:03am on May 10.

n The apartment manager of the Cochrane Village Apartments on Butterfield Boulevard reported a vehicle in the parking lot with a shattered window and “glass all over the place,” and the door was left ajar. The manager did not know who the registered owner is, just that the vehicle is a silver compact. The report was taken on May 10 at 11:20am.

n A resident of the 1500 block of Santa Ines Way reported the resident’s garage door opener was stolen, and the garage door was opened. The resident’s locked vehicle was broken into, possibly with a “slim jim,” and change was stolen from the vehicle. The glove compartment door was opened, but it was not clear if anything more was stolen. The report was taken at 9:04am on May 11.

n Carpenter’s Training Center on Woodview Drive reported two vehicles in the parking lot were broken into. The report was taken on May 11 at 1:26pm.

n A Morgan Hill resident reported a cell phone was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at the Longs Drugs store on East Dunne Avenue. The windows of the vehicle were left down. The report was taken at 3:43pm on May 11.

n A resident of the 1400 block of Miwok Place reported the garage door opener was stolen from his unlocked vehicle. The report was taken on May 11 at 4:09pm.

n A Morgan Hill resident reported the resident’s locked Chevy Avalanche was broken into while it was parked at Marie Callendar’s restaurant across from the Cochrane Plaza shopping center. The rear window of the Avalanche was shattered, and a laptop and luggage were stolen. The report was taken at 8:17pm on May 11.
