at the age of 26.

Upon completing high school, Joseph had enlisted and served with the U.S. Coast Guard prior to studying and graduating from the Police Academy at Evergreen Valley College.
His favorite book was the Bible and among his preferred verses were “To obey, to be ready for every good work; to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle and showing humility to all.”
He was the very dearly beloved son of James and Hedda Murphy. He also is survived by his sisters Janine Murphy, Cindy Tinetti and their children.
Viewing takes place at 6 tonight at Habing Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 17, at Los Gatos Memorial Park Cemetery, 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Road, in the same cemetery near his very esteemed and cherished girlfriend.
