Auto Burglary
• A Morgan Hill resident reported her wallet was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the Aquatic Center on Condit Road. The report was taken at 7:50pm on July 16.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported his locked Chevy van was broken into while it was parked at the Cinema 6 theaters in Tennant Station. The resident reported his son’s backpack was stolen and the passenger side window of the van was shattered. The report was taken on July 17 at 12:08am
• A resident of Bender Circle reported her purse was taken from her locked Lincoln Towncar. The door to the vehicle was found partially open. The report was taken on July 24 at 7:58 p.m.
• A guest at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel on Condit Road reported the guest’s locked Ford was broken into, and a laptop and medical records were stolen. The lock was “popped off” the passenger side of the vehicle. The report was taken at 6:13 a.m. on July 27.
• A resident of the 200 block of West Dunne Avenue reported the resident’s Saturn was left locked with the alarm on in the parking lot and someone entered the vehicle and stole the stereo within the past two days. The report was taken on July 28 at 4:08 p.m.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported her purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked at Shadow Mountain Baptist Church. She told police the purse contained $380, her passport and credit cards. The report was taken at 7:53 p.m. on Aug. 1.
Fraud
• A Morgan Hill resident reported a credit card was stolen and used by the thief approximately 50 times for fuel. The report was taken on July 19 at 4:24 p.m.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported her credit card was stolen from Scramblz restaurant on East Dunne Avenue, and now charges have been made on it at Mervyn’s in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center and other businesses in Morgan Hill. The report was taken at 1:04 p.m. on July 30.
Tampering with a vehicle
• A Morgan Hill resident reported license
plates from his Ford Aerostar were stolen two days earlier while the van was parked at the M and H Tavern on Monterey Road. The report was taken on July 19 at 1:37 p.m.
• A resident of the 17400 block of Blue Jay Drive reported a hubcap from the resident’s vehicle was stolen overnight. The report was taken at 2:36 p.m. on July 19.
• A resident of the 15200 block of La Alameda reported her brother’s truck was parked outside the residence, and the rear license plate was stolen sometime during the day. The report was taken on July 19 at 6:30 p.m.
Battery
• A Morgan Hill resident reported her husband hit her and choked her and her 11-year-old son. The report was taken on July 25 at 1:05 a.m.
•La Casa Del Puente on Depot Street reported one of the patients punched another patient with a closed fist. The report was taken at 3:22 p.m. on July 28.
