As the political season comes upon us many expectations are
thrust upon organizations such as Chambers of Commerce. We are
expected to back certain principles thus, in the eyes of some that
means adopting certain political agendas.
As the political season comes upon us many expectations are thrust upon organizations such as Chambers of Commerce.
We are expected to back certain principles thus, in the eyes of some that means adopting certain political agendas.
It isn’t going to happen here, at least not under my watch.
The only principles to which this Chamber will subscribe are those having to do with the profitable and equitable means towards the conduct of sound business principles that builds and maintains the community in which we live.
Our membership retention rate is 98 percent.
Another Chamber near us has seen their retention drop from the high 80th percentile to 66 percent because they have become a partisan headquarters.
Even if people are a member of that political party they don’t join a Chamber for political reasons but for the help and interaction a Chamber can provide to help benefit their business.
- Our MAP AD is a great deal. For as little as $350.00 you can be on our official Map of Morgan Hill for two full years. There are only six spaces left so hurry.
*The Joe Sharino Band (www.jsband.com) will play the concluding night of the 2004 Friday Night Music Series on the corner of 2nd and Monterey, Sept. 24.
That will be the official kickoff of the 15th Annual Taste of Morgan Hill Sept. 25-26.
Hey, a nationally known Rock’n Roll entity HERE, in Morgan Hill.
See you all there!
Did you know that:
- The journey of a thousand miles begins with a broken fan belt and a leaky tire.
-
A closed mouth gathers no foot.
-
No one is listening until you make a mistake.
-
Always remember you’re unique, just like everyone else.
-
Never test the depth of the water with both feet.
-
If you think nobody cares if you’re alive, try missing a couple of car payments.
-
If you tell the truth you don’t have to remember anything.
-
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again; it was probably worth it.
-
If you drink, don’t park, accidents cause people.
-
Some days you are the bug and some days you are the windshield.
-
Good judgment comes from bad experience and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
-
Experience is something you don’t get until just after you need it.
