She told police the incident occurred June 18 when the crew came in to clean the house, but she did not discover the alleged theft until June 25. She said a diamond bracelet and a pendant necklace with a horseshoe and a gold medallion with diamonds were stolen. The report was taken on July 15 at 8:17am
n A Morgan Hill resident reported he left his computer bag next to his vehicle on Spring Avenue and when he came back out to the vehicle, the bag was gone. The bag contained an IBM laptop, a Palm Pilot, a calculator and miscellaneous papers. He called back later to tell police he works for the government and there is sensitive information on the laptop. The report was taken at 12:59pm on July 17.
Threats
n An employee of Community Lending reported she is receiving harassing phone calls, sexual in nature, at work. She does not recognize the voice. The report was taken on June 22 at 9:42am
n A Morgan Hill resident told police her ex-husband told her stepson, “I am not afraid to kill anyone in our family.” The resident does not know if her ex-husband owns any weapons. The report was taken at 2:16pm on June 22.
n The owner of a Morgan Hill business reported he has received several threatening voicemails from the sister of an ex-employee. The ex-employee committed suicide seven years ago, and the sister holds him responsible. The report was taken on June 25 at 10:56am
n Holiday Inn Express reported someone calls the main number of the hotel 30-40 times a night between midnight and 4am, using obscene language. Possible suspect is an ex-employee that “knows a lot about the business.” The report was taken on July 5 at 1:15pm
n A resident of Ginger Way reported he is receiving harassing phone calls and suspects it is his ex-girlfriend, who, he said, is “having a hard time getting over him.” He also told police his family members are getting calls asking about his whereabouts, and someone came to his business in Gilroy asking questions about him. The report was taken at 10:51pm on July 5.
Petty theft
n A Morgan Hill resident reported his wallet was stolen “sometime during the day.” The report was taken on July 11 at 6:50pm
n Alpha Automotive Repair on Monterey Road reported a vending machine was vandalized and $28 was stolen from the machine on July 9. The report was taken at 9:07am on July 12.
n Target in Cochrane Plaza shopping center reported someone stole five DVDs, but they were recovered from the suspect. The report was taken on July 17 at 2:07pm
Burglary
n A Morgan Hill resident reported her wallet was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the Aquatic Center on Condit Road. The report was taken at 7:50pm on July 16.
n A Morgan Hill resident reported his locked Chevy van was broken into while it was parked at the Cinema 6 theaters in Tennant Station. The resident reported his son’s backpack was stolen and the passenger side window of the van was shattered. The report was taken on July 17 at 12:08am
