Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will implement Bus and Light Rail service changes effective Monday, Jan. 5.

The list below includes service impacted by route and schedule changes:

Line 10 – On weekdays and weekends, evening service frequency will be reduced between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Line 13 – The routing will operate a one-way loop at the southern end of the route via Almaden Expressway, Via Valiente, Camden Avenue, Harry Road, McKean Road, Almaden Road and back to Almaden Expressway. Service will no longer operate South of McKean Road. On weekdays, the frequency will be improved to operate every 30 minutes during peak commute hours.

Line 17 – Weekday service will operate every 45 minutes.

Line 19 – Weekday service will operate every 45 minutes. Weekday service will start at 5 a.m. and end at 8:45 p.m. Weekend service will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 6:45 p.m.

Line 27 – On weekdays, service will no longer operate west of Meridian Avenue before 6:30 a.m. or after 7 p.m. Midday service will operate every 45 minutes.

Line 30 – This line will be discontinued.

Line 31 – Saturday service will operate every 30 minutes between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Line 32 – On weekdays, midday service will operate every 60 minutes over the entire line.

Line 33 – Sunday service will be rescheduled to improve connections, and evening service will end at 7 p.m.

Line 34 – This line will operate between the San Antonio Shopping Center and El Camino Hospital. On weekdays, peak hour buses will terminate at the Mountain View Caltrain Station, while service will be extended to El Camino Hospital during the midday. Service will no longer operate to the Mountain View Senior Center on Escuela. Weekday service will operate from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Line 35 – On weekdays, service will begin at 6 a.m. and end at 10 p.m. Weekday service to Whisman Road will end at 7 p.m. All Saturday service will end at 8:30 p.m., and Sunday service to the Stanford Medical Center will be discontinued.

Line 37 – Minor schedule adjustments will be made on weekdays and Saturdays to improve connections and better reflect actual running times. Sunday service will be discontinued.

Line 38 – On weekdays, midday service will be discontinued. Saturday service will also be discontinued.

Line 39 – All trips will operate in the clockwise direction (no 39A trips).

Line 58 – Service to the Water Pollution Control Plant in Alviso will be discontinued.

Line 65 – On weekdays, service after 6:30 p.m. will operate hourly.

Line 67 – Midday service will be discontinued.

Line 77 – On weekdays, midday service will terminate at the Great Mall, and northbound service will end by 9 p.m. On weekends, service will end at 8:30 p.m.

Line 85 – Weekend service will be discontinued.

Line 86 – This line will be discontinued, but much of the route will be incorporated into Line 88 (see Line 88 for related changes).

Line 88 – The route will be combined with part of Line 86 to operate a two-way route between the California Avenue Caltrain Station and the Palo Alto Caltrain Station via Stanford Industrial Park, Charleston Road, Louis Road, Channing Avenue and downtown Palo Alto. On weekdays, service will operate every 60 minutes all day over the entire route. Additional service operating between the California Avenue Caltrain Station and Stanford Industrial Park during peak commute hours will operate at least every 30 minutes. Saturday service will operate every 60 minutes between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. This route will not operate on Sundays.

Limited Stop Line 300 – Eastbound buses will be routed into the Santa Clara Caltrain Station.

Limited Stop Line 304 – The afternoon and evening routing will be modified to start from the Mountain View Transit Center and operate on Evelyn Avenue, Pioneer Way, Dana Street and Whisman Road like the morning routing.

Limited Stop Line 305 – Afternoon and evening routing will be modified to start from the Mountain View Transit Center and operate on Evelyn Avenue, Pioneer Way, Dana Street and Whisman Road like the morning routing. Afternoon buses will also be routed into the Santa Clara Caltrain Station.

Light Rail – Weekday service on the Mountain View – I-880/Milpitas Line will operate from 5 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with midday service operating every 30 minutes. Weekend service will operate until 11:30 p.m., with hourly service starting after 7:30 p.m.
