dropped off at his home by the stepson’s father without his

• A Morgan Hill resident reported his 13-year-old stepson was dropped off at his home by the stepson’s father without his medication. The mother and father share custody, however the 13-year-old was released to his father’s care from a hospital after he “pulled a knife” on his mother. The teenager has been diagnosed as bi-polar, the resident told police, and he is interested in filing child abandonment charges against the father. The report was taken on Sept. 14 at 4:22pm.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported his 4-year-old daughter may have been molested by the mother’s boyfriend. The daughter told her father the boyfriend gave her a bath the last time he was there and he “touched her but it didn’t hurt.” The report was taken on Sept. 20 at 10:40pm.
Grand theft:
• Courtesy Chevrolet on Laurel Road reported the chain at the entrance to the parking lot was cut and eight tires from two Corvettes, valued at $10,000, were stolen overnight. The report was taken on Sept. 28 at 7:23am.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported a handgun and DVDs stolen from a storage unit. The resident told police he gave the key to an employee who was supposed to taken only a dresser and mattress from the unit. The report was taken at 9:57am on Sept. 28.
Driving under the influence of alcohol
• Marcos Lopez, 61, was arrested after an accident involving another vehicle. There were no injuries in the accident at Monterey Road and Middle Avenue on Oct. 9 at 6:17pm. After the collision, Lopez and a passenger fled from the scene on foot but officers caught them.
• Selwyn M. Daye, 40, of Gilroy, arrested at 1129 Monte Bello Drive, Sept. 5 for alleged driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and having no insurance.
• Jose D. Mares, 26, of San Jose, arrested at 2609 Skylark Drive, Sept. 5 for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without no insurance and driving without a license.
• Arturo N. Martinez, 26, of Gilroy, arrested at 1380 First St., Sept. 6 for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without no insurance and driving without a license.
• Byron J. Vaness at 7:50pm Sept. 10, on Monterey Road at Farrell Avenue, Gilroy, for DUI.
• Giancario C. Umali at 12:40am Saturday, Sept. 11, on Monterey Road south of Bailey Avenue for DUI.
• Kazuko Thompson at 5:35pm Sept. 11, on northbound U.S. 101 south of Coyote Creek Golf Drive for DUI and hit-and-run.
