Robert R. Harper, born July 9, 1949, in Endicott, N.Y., died at
his home in Morgan Hill on Nov. 6, 2004. He was 55.
Robert R. Harper, born July 9, 1949, in Endicott, N.Y., died at his home in Morgan Hill on Nov. 6, 2004. He was 55.
He served in the U.S. Army where he was a decorated 101st Airborne Combat Vietnam veteran hero of two tours of duty. He received the Purple Heart and two stars.
After the war Robert followed in his father’s footsteps and became an engineer and was an automotive enthusiast. He had a great love of his family and friends. His desire was to bring peace of mind so all could find true happiness.
He is survived by his mother Elizabeth M. Harper; sons Robert V. Harper and Jeremy M. Fiddes; daughter Jennifer E. Harper; brother Richard D. Harper; sisters Penelope A. Carter and Janet L. Harper-Beam; grandchildren Megan and Caitlen Harper; a nephew; neices; grandnephew; and grandnieces.
A Celebration of Life reception took place Saturday, Nov. 13. Military Tribute and burial was at 11am today, Nov. 20, at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
