Vandalism:

• A resident of the Monte Vista Apartments reported his Dodge Ram truck was shot at overnight. He told police there was damage to the driver’s side door. The report was taken on Oct. 15 at 4:33pm.

• A resident of La Crosse Drive reported a window of his Plymouth Voyager was stolen during the day. The report was taken at 5:33pm on Oct. 16.

Auto burglary:

• A Morgan Hill resident told police his locked vehicle was broken into while parked at the Gold’s Gym on Jarvis Drive. His wallet was stolen from the vehicle. The report was taken on Oct. 13 at 1:25pm.

• A resident of Hidden Meadows apartments reported the resident’s Honda CRX was broken into while parked at the apartments overnight on Oct.12. Speakers, a power amp, sub woofers and CDs were stolen from the Honda. The report was taken on Oct. 14 at 11:43am.

• Fox Racing on Sutter Boulevard reported two vehicles were broken into. It was unclear at the time of the report if anything was stolen. The report was taken at 3:15pm on Oct. 15.

Petty theft:

• A Morgan Hill resident reported the resident’s daughter’s cell phone was stolen from her backpack during gym class at Sobrato High on Burnett Avenue. The report was taken on Oct. 14 at 10:35am.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her cell phone was stolen while she was in the Lighthouse youth center at Hale Avenue and Main Avenue. The report was taken at 5:53pm on Oct. 14.

• Target in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center reported a male juvenile was caught attempting to steal a $40 knife. The report was taken on Oct. 15 at 2:21pm.

• Mervyn’s in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center reported a juvenile was caught attempting to steal merchandise. The report was taken at 3:39pm on Oct. 15.

• A resident of West Dunne Avenue reported someone stole a “Sellers for Mayor” sign, valued at $100, from his property. The report was taken on Oct. 16 at 9:37am.

Fraud:

• Wells Fargo Bank reported a male suspect tried to cash a counterfeit check. The report was taken on Oct. 14 at 3:10pm.

Brandishing:

• A Morgan Hill resident reported a male in a Toyota pickup pointed a gun at him and threw a hammer at him when he was in his Toyota at East Dunne Avenue and Butterfield Boulevard. The report was taken on Oct. 12 at 8:36am.

• A Morgan Hill resident told police she is in the process of getting a divorce from her husband, and he has threatened her with a knife several times and threatened to kill her. The report was taken at 11:11am on Oct. 12.

Stolen vehicle:

• Greis Brothers Container on San Pedro Avenue reported a delivery truck stolen. The report was taken on Oct. 14 at 9:59am.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported she parked her Ford van at the M and H Tavern on Monterey Road, drank too much and got a ride home. When she returned to pick it up the next day, it was gone. The report was taken at 7:49pm on Oct. 15.

Tampering with

a vehicle:

• A resident of Wright Avenue reported the rear license plate was stolen from his Buick overnight. The report was taken on Oct. 16 at 11:04am.

Child Abuse:

• A Morgan Hill resident told police her husband choked their 3-year-old son because he was playing at the breakfast table. The county Child Protective Services Department was contacted. The report was taken on Oct. 12 at 4:26pm.

Grand theft:

• A resident of Hacienda Mobile Home Estates on Burnett Avenue reported a suspect was working on the resident’s vehicle and stole approximately $2,000 in items from the vehicle on Sept. 28. The report was taken on Oct. 12 at 8:41am.

Battery:

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her soon-to-be ex-husband was trying to take her keys away because she was trying to leave the residence, and he forced the keys from her, cutting her finger. The resident also told police he pushed her. The report was taken on Oct. 12 at 4:34pm.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her son was beat up by two older boys in Llagas Park. The report was taken at 7:15pm on Oct. 12.

Drugs

• Michael Adam Torres, 23, of 14100 Sycamore Ave., San Martin, at 3:09pm on Sunday, Oct. 3, at Santa Teresa Boulevard and Mantelli Avenue, for felony possession of marijuana.
