Morgan Hill’s Junior Midgets will advance to the championship game Saturday due in part to a resounding 24-6 victory over Menlo Atherton.

Menlo Atherton kept the game close throughout the first half with the score 8-6 at the break.

But Morgan Hill scored twice in the second half to win big and get another shot at West Valley, the only team to beat them this year.

The division championship will be held at Woodside High in Redwood City. The winner will play at Kezar Stadium the following Sunday.

MH Junior Pee Wees 18, Sunnyvale 12

The Raiders avenged their earlier season loss to Sunnyvale on Sunday with an 18-12 overtime victory.

In a hard fought game, Morgan Hill ended regulation tied at 12-all. In the overtime, based on a college format, each team received one set of downs from the 10 yard line. Sunnyvale’s first try came up empty with a second-down fumble. But MH scored on its turn for the win

The Junior Pee Wees will join the Junior Midgets on championship weekend against the Redwood City 49ers, a team that hasn’t allowed a score all year.
