Despite Live Oak’s loss in the Central Coast Section playoffs, the Tri-County Athletic League continued its strong showing in the postseason last weekend.

In Division I, the league champion and No. 5 seed Hollister-San Benito boys beat Menlo-Atherton 58-52 and is scheduled to play No. 1 Piedmont Hills on Wednesday at Santa Clara High.

Also in Division I, the Hollister girls beat Silver Creek 50-33, the Salinas girls downed Independence 84-55 and the Gilroy girls edged Piedmont Hills 44-42 on Saturday.

In their second-round match-ups, No. 3 Hollister plays No. 2 Salinas and No. 5 Gilroy plays No. 1 Alisal on Wednesday at Leland High.

In Division II, the No. 10 North Salinas boys upset Palo Alto 53-52 in OT and will play No. 3 Archbishop Mitty on Tuesday at Oak Grove High.

In Division IV, the league champion and top-seeded Notre Dame-Salinas girls blew out Gunderson 63-34 and will play No. 5 Santa Catalina at North Salinas High on Wednesday.
