Fraud: Wells Fargo Bank reported someone tried to cash fraudulent checks in the amount of $150 and $350. The report was taken on Jan. 16 at 4:35 p.m.
• A resident of Bugatti Place reported someone used her Social Security number to set up an account with Quest long distance service. The report was taken at 1:59 p.m. on Jan. 21.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported she was advised by her social worker that someone is using her 7-year-old son’s Social Security number. The report was taken on Jan. 21 at 2:17 p.m.
• A resident of Black Prince Court reported someone used his name and Social Security number to get a credit card through Chase Manhattan Bank. The report was taken at 3:20 p.m. on Jan. 21.
• Nob Hill Foods reported a counterfeit $100 bill was passed. The report was taken on Jan. 23 at 6:32 p.m.
Threats: A Morgan Hill resident reported her ex-husband is threatening her and her children. She told police he is threatening to beat, rape and kill her in front of the children. The report was taken on Jan. 20 at 2:48 p.m.
• Britton Middle School reported a group of students were threatening the visiting team’s cheerleaders. The report was taken at 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 20.
Petty theft: Cochrane Chevron reported a male suspect stole beer from the store. The report was taken at 7:55 p.m. on Jan. 15.
• A wallet was stolen from the purse of an employee at P.A. Walsh School while she was working. The wallet contained credit cards, identification, $30 in cash and personal checks. The credit cards have been used and some of the checks cashed. The report was taken on Jan. 16 at 5:50 p.m.
• Johnson Lumber/Ace Hardware reported a male suspect took something from the store. The report was taken at 6:18 p.m. on Jan. 18.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported her purse was stolen while she was at the library. The report was taken on Jan. 20 at 5:04 p.m.
• A resident of the 16300 block of Juan Hernandez Drive reported someone stole the resident’s Haro Revo bike, valued at $400. The report was taken at 6:24 p.m. on Jan. 20.
• A resident of the 2000 block of Old Oak Lane reported checks and mail were stolen from the mailbox. The report was taken at 5:07 p.m. on Jan. 23.
• The AM/PM Mini Mart reported a suspect stole two 12-packs of beer. The report was taken on Jan. 24 at 1:02 a.m.

Theft: A gold 1995 Honda Accord was stolen from a female victim at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22.
• Someone stole equipment worth $4,427 from a crane at a construction site between 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, and 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13. The grand theft was reported to deputies at 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
• Ignacio Guenta was arrested by deputies for auto theft of a 1990 Dodge Caravan at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
• Someone stole a license plate from a 2002 Ford Escort between 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 and 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the CalTrain Station parking lot in San Martin as reported at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
• Someone stole a 20-drawer toolbox with tools worth over $3,000 from a barn in Gilroy between 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15, and 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16.
Burglary: Someone opened the garage door and stole a yellow go-cart worth $1,500 between 12:15 and 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22.
• Someone broke the window of a 1996 Mitsubishi Mirage and stole a $290 Sony CD stereo between 6 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Assault and Battery: Five Hispanic men entered La Catinita Bar and beat a male victim between 12:30 and 12:40 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21. The men hit the victim with their fists and kicked him with their boots. The male victim was sent to Saint Louise Regional Hospital for treatment. The battery was reported at 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Trespassing: Someone drove a Chevy truck into a field at a property off of Highway 152 in Gilroy and broke 30 pipes, a damage of $1,000, between 1 and 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20. The trespassing was reported at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20.
